What I liked about Nigel is how he makes it so easy to understand the process from beginning to end. He explains everything clearly and made me feel relaxed when I felt nervous about certain procedures.I will definately recommend to friends and family. I don’t know where I would start 😭 from being horrified from many experience's from previous dentists, To finding this absolute GEM at Seaham Smiles.From walking in and meeting MEGAN she has just changed my life completely. Giving me my smile back, my dignity and my confidence, everyone who works their are helpful and even though they don’t know it from walking in to an immaculate clinic and seeing the smiles from the staff, helped with my nervous! I’ll be forever grateful 😊🥰 and I’m not scared anymore 😊🤭. I’m signing all my family to Seaham smiles 😊.
Recently I had to arrange an emergency appointment at short notice as I was going away on holiday a few days later and was concerned about the pain I was experiencing due to toothache!I saw Stacey and Michelle who were both fantastic. They showed empathy and a high level of care and concern. Stacey quickly identified that one of my teeth had cracked and asked me to return only an hour later after lunch for further treatment. When I returned she carried out a variety of procedures to fix and treat the problem. This took around 40 minutes. She went above and beyond expectations at such short notice to deal with the matter very efficiently, even though I was an NHS client. She fixed the problem so that I could go away pain free and enjoy my holiday!I will be returning for further treatment and I would l like to thank both Stacey and Michelle for their help. I have been a client since Nigel took over the business from Mr Robson and have always had great care! I can thoroughly recommend Seaham Smiles for all your dental needs and I am now considering moving on to the Dental Care Plan.
After suffering with sore and bleeding gums for a long time, a consultation with Rob and Rebecca suggested a deep clean coupled with a course of antibiotics to address the underlying issue. Pleased to say that this worked a treat and it’s lovely to have healthy gums again.
Although no one enjoys going to the dentist, Seaham Smiles makes it a much nicer experience. The staff are all friendly and professional.My dentist Dr Robert Hetherington is great, he takes the time to explain each procedure, showing the problem via x-rays or by a detailed explanation and he is meticulous in carrying it out the work. His assistant Jane is also extremely competent. Overall from my experience over the last 5 or so years I can highly recommend them.
I have been seeing Matt for my dental treatment, amazing dentist puts you at ease immediately having not been a fan of going to the dentist in the past was very anxious. Matt was great from walking in the door, the receptionists and the dental nurses are all lovely definitely recommend Seaham smiles to family and friends
I had a scale and polish today. I've always been frightened of going to the dentist after bad experiences in the past. Rebecca and Steph were very gentle, understanding and reassuring . I now don't feel as apprehensive for future visits. Highly recommended.
Megan took a 60+ man who hated dentists and totally put him at his ease. I cannot tell you how good she and seaham smiles are. I am actually looking forward to my next visit. Very professional and friendly. Five stars is not enough.

I was seen today by your hygienist Rebecca, she always does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. She puts you at ease straight away and is very polite and pleasant. Gives advice on how best to keep your teeth and gums healthy. I can not recommend her highly enough, she is a credit to your practice.Thanks again Rebecca.

Visited Seaham Smiles today for a planned dental treatment-filling of back tooth.Stacey Fenwick - dentist completed the procedure. I was nervous to be having the procedure as it was my first ever local anaesthetic oral injection and I was unsure what to expect during the procedure.Stacey was amazing, from entering the room Stacey put me at easy and explained every step of the procedure. Stacey is professional and friendly and I soon felt at ease.Stacey explained in detail the aftercare and answered all my questions.I would definitely go back to Stacey should I need any further dental work completing.Would highly recommend visiting Seaham Smiles and in particular Stacey.
I can’t recommend implants enough I spent 10+ years with a large gap and didn’t realise how this changes how you eat to your face shape. From the initial consultation with options available to the aftercare has been nothing but five star treatment from Nigel and Elisha. My only regret is that I didn’t do it years ago and I wouldn’t think twice about doing it again.
After a lot of years putting my hand over my mouth when smiling i decided to treat myself to invisalign.i was surprised how affordable it was so went ahead and rob hetherington has managed to make me smile hands free :) Anyone wondering if its for you make the move do it treat yourself. Great dentist, went private here due to no NHS availability and it has a real Vip feel to there service, reasonably priced also compared to going private in some other dentists i looked at around the area
Had my daughter here today for an emergency appointment and what a lovely practice! I have never been to a dentist where the atmosphere is so calm and chilled. The dentist Matt, was so reassuring towards my daughter and the reception staff were lovely.
Highly recommend this dental practise for the treatment, care and aftercare. Cannot thank Robert Hetherington and Jane enough for the outcome of my treatment. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful.
I've recently had composite bonding on my teeth, undertaken by Maha. I am over the moon with the treatment, it has made a huge improvement to my front teeth and has given me the confidence to show my teeth when smiling. Thank you so much.

Without a doubt would highly recommend seaham smiles I suuffer with agoraphobia and ptsd and rob made my trip easy by continuing talking to me and going through the steps with me the receptionist staff are amazing too they could see I was nervous and also continued talking to me I’m looking forward to my next visit x
I was in desperate need of an emergency appointment, rang every dentist in the northeast pretty much. They fit me in and helped me. The receptionists are absolutely lovely. If they were taking on patients I would 100% recommend here.

Had a really good experience I got my tooth out ended up with an infection in my gum rob sorted it straight away and made me feel at ease finally out of pain now
I have recently undergone extensive work at this practise being subject to various treatments & procedures all of which I feel have been carried out to the highest standards, Nigel is a consummate professional who takes pride in his work & always ensures you are as comfortable as possible whilst treatment is carried out , I also felt he advised on the best course of action in an honest & informed manner , top marks to Nigel & his team, highly recommend this practise.

I would like to send a massive thank you to all the staff for helping my eight year old granddaughter in her emergency for dental help.I’ve been with this dental practice for many years now and have always found the staff to be professional, polite, helpful, respectful and caring. I can’t praise them enough.
I had a dental emergency which could not wait. I tried 15 different dentists closer to home before Seaham Smiles went above and beyond to get me in to see a dentist ASAP.I saw Matt who was absolutely brilliant. I had to have an extraction of a broken tooth which came out in several bits but Matt was very calming and kept me at ease throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the surgery to anyone.Thanks for all your help today

6 years ago we joined this practice as we heard it was family friendly. My daughter who was 3 years old at the time had a huge fear of the dentist, we had even been asked to leave our last practice due to her hysterical crying. Today she had to have a tooth removed as it was causing problems for her big tooth. While she was brave it would not have been possible using local anaesthetic without the fantastic work from Nigel and the rest of the team. Thank you Seaham Smiles!
